| Bio: | Tom Houston is a Scottish alternative-folk singer-songwriter, poet, and creative adventurer known for his distinctive blend of acoustic folk, indie rock, spoken word, and electronic soundscapes. Based in Stirling, Scotland, Houston has spent decades navigating the independent music scene, gaining reputation for his storytelling infused with "mischief and mystery". Houston began his musical career in the late 1980s. In 1990, he traveled to New England to promote his first independent solo record, Filling in the Cracks. During his varied career, he has formed, fronted, or played in numerous collaborative bands. Houston partnered with Boo Hewerdine's independent record label, Haven Records, to release the 6-track acoustic compilation EP river is me. He quickly followed this era with multi-genre material, including The ClockMill Sessions EP and a string of standalone singles like Under The Mat and ENTONOX. |
