The Entertainment

The Entertainment is the solo indie-rock project of Cambridgeshire-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ben Hewerdine. Known for blending melancholic lyrics with sharp, self-deprecating humor, his music channels the sonic textures of alternative icons like Eels, Grandaddy, and Sparklehorse. Raised in a musical environment as the son of acclaimed songwriter Boo Hewerdine, he transitioned from a traditional folk upbringing into gritty, synth-infused alternative rock, writes, records, and arranges the majority of his instrumentation independently.
